TDP Automation

Technical Data Packages (TDPs) are a description of the entire family of technical documentation relating to the development and production of manufactured equipment. They may contain all engineering specifications and drawings, operating and maintenance instructions, engineering data, test results and disposal instructions. The data may be grouped in any manner including:

  • Specification, Calculation and Design
  • Test Data and Reports
  • Diagrams, Drawings, Parts Lists, Data Lists
  • Performance and Failure Data
  • Amendments or Modifications (to specification or design)
  • Instructions for Operation, Inspection or Repair
  • Manufacturing Specifications

Traditionally TDP’s encompass any medium from paper hard copy, microfilm, video or magnetic and computer records.

DynaMark is able to assemble information from various mediums, convert it to data elements and use it in electronic mediums. This allows TDP information to be stored in an electronic repository allowing easier access and update. An additional benefit of a central repository for TDP’s is the storing and extraction of engineering specifications, drawings, and instructions in the repository. This facilitates the publication into any medium without the requirement to perform costly and time-consuming conversion tasks.

Organizations that realize benefits of TDP automation include:

  • Businesses associated with exploration such as the mining and oil industries
  • Organizations performing detailed research and development relating to medical equipment and pharmaceuticals
  • Organizations involved with the manufacture of simple and complex machinery and equipment such as the Aerospace, Automotive and Defence industry or household goods manufacturers
  • Organizations that require intelligent information breakdown and access such as law firms
  • Laboratories devoted to testing and developing new technologies.
